t-shirt ideas @ 08:26 pm

I'm currently feelin: cheerful cheerful
I'm currently hearin: Grace - U2

Hi everyone. Here's a nice break from all of the ticket sales postings. ;-)

I just bought a really cute little t-shirt for $5 from Target. It's green and it says "Dublin" in white letters at the top. On either side of the word "Dublin" are four leaf clovers. I thought it would be really cute if I could somehow stencil some U2 lyrics on the back in white.

So, I'm asking, do you guys have any good ideas of what phrase/lyrics to put on the shirt? I kind of want them to relate to Dublin in a way, but they don't have to.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. =)

<3

Sarah

Yep! I bought it yesterday. They also have other styles that say "Ireland" and a really cute one that says "Everyone loves an Irish Girl".

That sounds really cute. :) I got one from Urban Outfitters that says 'Everyone loves an Irish girl' on it, and it's probably my favorite shirt.

I will actively think of lyrics. I don't know of too many that relate to Dublin, hmm.

I work at Target.

I will forewarn those looking for the shirt that they're incredbily seasonal. Buy asap if you really want one. Target seasons things out so fast it's scary. I mean, we've had swimsuits up for like 3 weeks now.

Man, I hate it there. But I'm a college student and they give me fairly flexible hours.

Isn't 'North And South Of The River' about Dublin?  There's also a reference to the Liffey in 'Flower Child'.

yeah i was just about to mention that! :)

you could also perhaps do city of blinding lights, but i'm not sure that it's specifically about dublin.

Nah, 'City' is about New York. Is there anyone who isn't in love with New York? ;)

Yeah this is late, I know.

I would totally put "see the face of fear running scared in the valley below" on the back of my shirt. I don't know why, but I love that lyric.

But usually, in anything trying to hint at U2 I use "in the locust wind comes a rattle and hum." [Obviously I love bullet the blue sky] I don't know why. I know it's about America and it's a very angry song, but it's just awesome. The "locust wind" lyric, to me, is really a "watch out, here come my boys - takin over the world." haha. I mean, I use it in my AIM profile all the time.

Ok, I'm done. It's hard to pick just one lyric. They're all so good.
