This is pretty unrelated to U2 so i apologize if anyone has a problem with it but.....
I just downloaded "Teenage Wasteland" from itunes and....
its not the original version I dont think :(.
Did The Who originally sing it?
Anyway does anyone have The Who version they could upload?
I would be very greatful.

Oh here is a small U2 related bit of info. My roomate Andrea has touched Bono!She was a dancer at the superbowl halftime show and she can be seen in the video when Bono is walking through the crowd to get to the stage. Pretty nifty huh?

The song is called "Baba O'Riley" and is from the Who album "Who's Next."

As such, it's on a number of other Who releases, but I highly reccomend getting that whole album, it's one of the greatest rock records ever made.

I'm a little strapped for cash righ now so I can't go buy any cds. I feel like i have been missing out by not listening to The Who.

Eh. CD's are fucking overpriced, the industry has raped fans for years. Just go on direct connect or check Bittorrent sites for the stuff.

Get "Who's Next," and then "Quadrophenia," in that order. Just make sure you get the whole albums...the best Who albums were really self-contained entities, more than just a collection of songs. It's good stuff. :)

Teenage Wasteland - Brilliant David Bowie song from 1980

Baba O'Reilly - Fantastic The Who song from 1968 featuirng the chorus, "Don't cry/don't raise your eyes/it's only teenage wasteland."

The number of people that think Baba O'Reilly is named Teenage Wasteland is astounding, but understandable.

At times i feel like i know so many artists and have so much music and then stuff like this happens. I am always discovering new music and that is the best thing ever.

As long as you learn to love Bowie. Since you're obviously a U2 fan, this should not be a large task in any way of seeing it. Start with Scary Monsters and work backwards.
