I'm currently feelin: excited excited

Hi y'all.

http://atu2.blogspot.com/ Has the most likely setlist for opening night, or at least a rough idea.

Look only if you want to, but wow, it's not what the majority expects.

Enjoy?!

Um... ugh... I don't think that would work very well at all. I hope they have no idea what they're talking about!

Oh, I wasn't going to look, because I haven't decided if I want to be spoiled for the concert yet, but your comment forced me too!

SPOILERS AHEAD

OMG, that is a crazy set list. I'm going to have to revisit some of the earlier albums. It makes sense though, you can really hear the old U2 in this new album. More than anything on that list, I would be ecstatic to hear Zoo Station. I've recently fallen in love with that song as if I'd never heard it before. I would also *love* to hear The Fly. Especially if they change it up in some way. Crazy list though. I'm glad I got to see a lot of my favourite songs from Achtung Baby and Pop at the popmart tour, though. If I hadn't seen that tour as well, I might find this set list disapointing. I'm still *really* hoping to hear Electrical Storm. And I'm always hoping for Stay. Okay, I'll stop now before I go ahead and list every song not on the set list. I'll have to make a point of going to that website often :)

Consider me spoiled.

Interesting.

And now I will post about specifics, so go away if you don't want to know. :)

An Cat Dubh and Into the Heart?! HOLY CRAP! Not that I mind hearing some stuff from way back in the day, but... I'd rather have 'Out of Control' in there for 'Boy,' plus 'Bad' or 'Heartland' in there, too. ;) I'm absolutely thrilled about the 'Gloria' possibility, though (THRILLED!). Oh man, that would kick some ass. And I'm more than fine with the lack of 'Gone' and 'Bullet.' Woo! I think it looks all right, but there are a few things I hope get thrown in, because... *whimper* Bad?

Oh man, I'd love to hear Out of Control too! Definitely my favourite song on that album!

I also agree, Gloria would rock the house.

Ooooh, I loved seeing Gone and Bullet live. I agree to disagree :P

They can stand there and play kazoos for 2 hours, if you ask me. I'm just ecstatic to be finally seeing them!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Until Monday night, it's all speculation...

It not necessarily the songs they are playing but the order. I just can't imagine Vertigo being near the end and City being so close up.

There are also so many back to back shows at the same venue (esp New York) where they'll be switching up the setlist, so I'd expect they'll switch this up quite a bit over the tour.

This does sound like a badass setlist and it really surprised me, as most everybody. Interference interviewed U2 shortly before Bomb came out and they mentioned they were interested in shaking the setlists up more between shows, so you never know. These shows could all encompass different songs than what we're used to. Elevation stayed pretty static although i never get tired of hearing any concert from that tour. same for the other tours, still, i actually think City will be a good opener. I definitely didnt expect that. My guess for opener was Love and Peace or Else. U2 is definitely shaking things up this time around. Also, i cant imagine U2 doing a show and NOT playing Until the end of the world or Bullet the blue sky. UTEOTW is an essential song live if you ask me, as well as Bullet. But whatever, these shows will surely be inspired!
