just one request... if you're a tall person and are lucky enough to get to the front of GA... please don't be raising your arms every 2 minutes to take photos. it's terrible for the people behind you :(

and I know a bunch of people were able to sneak cameras past security, while others couldn't, no matter how well-concealed... I'd play it safe and take a disposable so in case you're caught you just toss it and go on in... a couple ahead of me in the GA line were soclose to getting to the front but had to return to their car to drop it off.

depends on the venue, I guess. :)

no i am not in GA so i will not annoy the 5476458845656 behind me.

but do you think security would find a camera if it was hidden under...o say....a couple of MAXI pads?

U2's camp permits point-and-shoot cameras. Basically, as long as your camera does not have a detachable lens or video recording capabilities, you're fine. I brought my Canon PowerShot into three shows with no problem whatsoever and took plenty of photos.

Have fun!!!

most venues were not that bad about cameras -- SD even went so far to say you could bring a camera in as long as it didn't have a professional length lense . . .

They're mostly trying to stay away from video recording and professional pictures as opposed to you bringing in your regular camera (whether it be digital/camera/whatever) . . . I brought my digital one night and had absolutely no problem (anaheim)

I heard at Staples people were having more trouble, but I wasn't paying attention -- I didn't bring mine that night . . .

You may as well try. Like someone else said, if they say no, go to a different entrance and try with someone else!

I wonder if checking with the venue would help at all? Probably not though, they'd probably just refer you to your ticket. I really want to bring a camera, but I'm in the nose bleeds, so unless it has a zoom there wouldn't be much point and I don't want to risk loosing a good camera.
