There were also rumors that they were going to go into the studio after the end of the Elevation tour and crank out an album pretty quickly...

I'll believe it when i see it. It's a nice idea though. :)

Who knows? I'd love it, but I don't see it happening. 2007 is more likely.

"But I don't think it's a healthy state of mind to imagine that this band should go on and on. Everyone in it asks very hard questions about its continuing.”

Whats this all about? Am I reading this wrong or is Bono hinting at doubting the band's future?

I read it more as just not knowing that they'll tour till they're 80 n stuff... That if they can't stay vital (to their own definitions), they won't want to keep doing stuff & touring just to do it.

I don't really expect them to roll out in wheelchairs somewhere down the line and keep playing, do you?

Guys like the Stones or CSNY are still going strong, so I'd hope that we can get another good 15 years or so out of U2.

I would SO love to have a "guitar driven album." Please. For God's sake. Okay, for MY sake :)

I seriously doubt it. I actually prefer when they take the time on an album. I find it ends up being of better quality.

My lord the popups for that website. My stopper was going nuts.

I'm a little curious as to another album. We've got ATYCLB that definately is a call to their earlier days, HTDAAB as one big emotional/religeous celebration, perhaps the next one will be a call back to the AB days.. .*hopes*

My favorite era of U2 was the AB/Zooropa part. The alternative personalities, the cool life style.. Bring back Mr. McPhisto!

There are twenty-four songs that came out of the sessions. Eleven of them are on the album.

Oh man! So many songs we'd all *love* to hear! And then he taunts us by saying that they're good. I'd love it if they pulled another Zooropa! Then again, Larry's grumbled more than once about what a pain that was ;)
