U2 ticket trade - Oakland @ 12:34 pm

barbrocks:
I have 2 General Admission tickets for Nov. 9 at Oakland Arena that I would like to trade for 2 tickets in the first level section (1xx). I am willing to pay difference in ticket cost.

This is a great opportunity for someone to see U2 up close, either in the ellipse or up against the walkway. See picture for stage setup. I have already seen them up close in San Jose and in the past, so I want to watch the show from a different view, getting to see all the lighting effects.

I am looking for trade only, I do not want to sell these tickets. If I don't find someone to trade with, I'm still planning to use my tickets.

I have one ticket for Oakland on Nov. 8th. Section 103, row 11, seat ? I forget. Let me know if you're interested. I saw them in San Jose twice in the seats and loved it, but I'd like to have that ground floor experience. What was it like? Is it horrible if you're short? Bea

Thank you for your interest. I am looking for two tickets so my friend and I can go togher, but I will keep you in mind depending on what circumstances may arise.

If you do get GA tickets, you will love it! My experience at the bay area venues has been good. Unlike other venues, they are more organized and friendly here. At San Jose they handed up numbered wrist bands all day starting at 8am, so we got there early and were numbers 83 and 84. Then you got to leave the venue instead of staying there all day. They asked us to be back by 5pm to line up numerically. Then we waited until 6:30 to get in. Once inside you got to find your place to stand. If you are within first 250/300 people, you will get close enough that being short wont matter. The key is the get there early so you get your numbered wristband. I don't know if Oakland will be as organized, but I'm sure they will have a system too. My only advice is to wear comfortable shoes because you will be standing for a few hours. So be prepared for that. :-)

I'd prefer not to be behind stage but thanks for interest.

I will keep you in mind though if I change my mind. Do you know your row number?

Why don't you just buy GA tickets then? They should have those available too if they have seats.

If you really want to get GA tickets, you can find them through ticket brokers for about $200-$300 each. Looks like you would be spending the same amount for seats so you might as well check.
