I will definitely play a U2 song at my funeral. Far Away, So Close would be my choice (on a non U2 note: I would have it followed by 'Tequila' by The Champs).

I would have "Walk On" or "One Step Closer" play at mine.

One Tree Hill always made me think it'd make a good funeral song, mainly because it was written for a friend of theirs who died in an auto accident.

I'd be kind of scared of anyone that would want Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" played at their funeral. Then there is the whole "Stairway To Heaven" questions too...

I don't know if I would, but my choices off the top of my head would be Kite or MLK :)

this question for some reason instantly reminded me of the scene in Love Actually with the funeral and "Bye Bye Baby" is playing...dunno why..
anyway back to the post.. I think MLK or One Tree Hill would be at the top of my list....also Kite is a good one.

I'd say "Kite." Though only under the condition that my mother has already passed away. She hates U2. She says, "They always sound like they're screaming." And "Kite" certainly is a screamy song lol. If by chance I die before she does, I'd say "MLK."

With Or Without You, at a funeral? The sad part is that's not as strange as some of the other songs on that list!

Hmm. I could probably come up with a whole funeral setlist. Songs like MLK, One Tree Hill, 40, and One Step Closer are ones that would top my list.

That was my reaction, too. "Hey, I can't go on without you ... but I didn't like living with you either."
