Hello Hello!!

April 26th, 2005

Help, need a little help here. @ 08:58 am

boog0r:
Can someone who was either there or can confirm what u2setlists.com has for last night's setlist?
http://www.u2setlists.com/vertigo.shtml

It looks like they doubled up on a song. If this is true, I think its hilarious. It takes me back to those old bootlegs from the early 80s where they didnt even have enough material to fill a set so they had to repeat tunes.

It sounds like a throw back to the old days of "11 O'Clock Tick Tock" when they'd open and close with it. And, hell, I can see why they'd do it this time around.

They're all over the map. This time last tour, everything was pretty set, and very little changed. Hell, its been like that throughout tours. Setlists have been pretty set.

And, while I feel bad for those who missed out on the closer most of us have had, I think it'd have been pretty keen to be there.

No idea. I, for one, LOVED IT. The lights were different for the second performance of the song, and the band sounded tighter. My initial thought was that they were taping it for something?

But I'm not complaining because it fucking ROCKED. They blew the roof off the place.

You'd think U2 has a few more songs now so they don't have to double up. heh

They indeed doubled up just like old times. Just for kicks I imagine!

It was pretty amusing, though I admit I was disappointed that I didn't get to hear 40. Though I have another concert in October, so I have another chance then.

Bono went up to everyone and whispered to them, and then said "Encore! It's Italian for "Play the motherfucking song AGAIN!" and then they did. Not sure why, but meh. Awesome show, either way.

how fun that they played a song twice, but closing the concert with "40" is an amazing experience.
