Hello Hello!!

May 23rd, 2005

typical experience. @ 01:55 am

sullentimes:
I am going to the Charlotte show December 22. I know that is a long way away. I have GA Floor seats, but not fanclub seats.

I was wondering. I want to be as close to the stage as possible. for those of you who have already been to shows on this tour, could you please give me some advice about how early i should get to the venue and how long i should wait and how you were able to get close or see others get close.

thanks so much.

We camped out, and were on the rail for the Chicago shows...however, there were people one or two rows behind us who'd gotten there in the early afternoon...just depends how important it is for you to be absolutely in the front, or whether you just want to be close.

On my birthday.
You lucky lucky person.

Haven't been to a show this tour myself, but I've heard of people camping out, definitely.

We got to the Philly 2 show 5:30 AM and were 25th and 26th in line. When they split the lines to u2.com and regular GA, we were 7th and 8th. We got along the rail on Edge's side, about 10 feet from the tip of the ellipse.

It depends on the show. I think the general rule of those I've heard is about the first 75 people in each line will be able to get along the rail.

Also, make sure you hear the security people tell you which entry to go into, since at Philly 2, there was only one entry that lead to the openning to the floor. You don't want to go the wrong way.

Finally: run.

Be there the night before. It's the best way to promise any spot you want.

Dec 22nd is a Thurs.. there is no way that person has to be there the night before. They can be there very early the morning of the show and be fine.

My brother and I got to San Diego Sports Arena at 5am on 3/28. We were on the rail.

Same brother and my cousin got to the United Center in Chicago on 5/12 sometime around 9 or 10am. They were on the rail.

I'd say it really depends on the venue. But you can never be too early. Getting there early is fun... you meet other U2 fans - some from across the country.

I have tickets for 5/26 Boston. I plan on getting there at 9 am-ish. I have fan club seats, so hopefully the segregation will get me a good spot.
