TOTALLY agree about KoL's singer. I was at the show on Bono's bday, and I kept joking around that maybe there'd be cake. After KoL, I told my hub that there SHOULD be cake, cuz after that, Bono OWED me some damn cake! ;)

OMG, I know! I have both of KOL's albums because I REALLY really like the music, but someone kill that singer! It's sad cos they're such cute, greasy boys, but having to sit through them twice (Chicago 5/10 & 5/12) just to get to the U2 goodness really detracted from the experience over all. I do, however, have to admit they were infinitely more bearable the second night. I dunno if I'd just gotten used to the crappiness or they were having a good night *shrugs*

Well, that song that's on the car commercial makes the singer sound bearable, so the album's probably aren't as hard to listen to as live. Amazing what they can do in the mix, huh? ;)

Yeah, I know...I'm amazed that they're understandable. When he was talking, I couldn't understand him, either. I thought he'd said something about his mother coming up from Hades, but someone posted a few day later that he said Tennessee, not Hades lol

From where I was sitting in nosebleed land, KoL just sounded like a lot of bass and a lead singer trying to fight through it. They really weren't made for arena rock. Perhaps they sound better in a small club. I dunno...

WOW. I'm so jealous. I would've loved to hear him do the Vertigo count in Gaelic. It's such a beautiful language, and I've always wanted to study it.
