Hello Hello!!

Membership question @ 12:54 pm

I'm currently feelin: confused confused

I'm sure there are some U2.com members on here, and this is for you guys.
I joined in October or November of last year, and have yet to get my membership card.
Anybody else have this problem? If so, how did you end up getting it, or have you?

A friend in Boston told me she had heard there were two lines at shows, one for members and one for nonmembers. Anyone else hear this?
I'm seeing them in Dublin and need to know if I need my card.

Hi. I do have my metal card....somewhere. But from what I understand, those tickets bought through U2.com memberships have *FAN* written on them. I know my Boston October ones do. I haven't checked the Dublin tickets because those are seats.

Now what you could also do is call the number that is listed on the Help page on U2.com. I did that when I was having trouble getting a code. They not only got me a code, but found me on the Propaganda list. They might be able to send you a card.

They ran short on cards and are in the process of sending out more once they arrive. If you bought through the U2.com presale you shouldn't need your fan card for the members only line, your tickets should say "FAN" somewhere on them--for the US that is. I'm not sure about the two-line process for Europe. Venues are so big, I'd be interested to see how it works!

Congrats on seeing them in Dublin :)

there is also the membership form that you can print out. In Philly they were strict, you needed either the card or the print out or you were sent to the other line...no exceptions

So even if you bought two tickets and attended the concert with a non-member, they have to wait in the other line? What the crap is that?

The more I hear about the GA system, the less I like it. :/

I also have a question, I'm also a u2.com member and I haven't gotten my card yet either, but I bought my tickets off the presale too (for the December 7 Hartford show) but I don't see where it says 'Fan' anywhere on the tickets

No issues over here..

I joined u2.com around the same time. I got my membership card in February 05.

I got my tickets a couple of months ago and they do have FAN printed on them.. I don't know if this helps at all? Purhaps they ran out of the metal member cards?

I got a membership card a few months, but my tickets do not say FAN on them anywhere. I wonder if that's because I did the print-at-home thing? I am a member, so I am now extremely concerned OH CRAP.

Thanks to everyone that replied. I actually got a reply from fanfire today. I'll lj-cut for those of you that have questions also. Some of this is already on the U2 page, but maybe it'll help some others too.
