This song was a sleeper for me. Something I would always skip to get to "Where the Streets Have No Name" in the Best Of... cd. Then somehow this song just clicked for me. I love the drums. Especially when Larry bounces from playing the cymbals back to drums and back to cymbals. For me, it's the whole song. I don't even hear lyrics until Bono starts to shout "Wide awake!!!!"
Huh. I guess that's the purpose.
Edges guitar also makes me happy in this song. It's probably one of the most recognizable songs by it's first few notes just cause of that.
