It's songs that the guys in the band have picked out. I honestly can't remember any of the groups right off hand because I've only heard of one of them. I don't have the cd jacket handy either.

I REALLY like it. It happens to have quite a few of my favorite bands on it as well, which was a pleasant surprise.

I think it says on the inside of Mojo that Bono picked out "Hounds of Love" by The Futureheads and that Edge picked out "30 Seconds Over Tokyo" by Pere Ubu, but I'm not sure about the rest of them.

I would love to know who picked what song.

Yeah, I've been amusing myself while listening to it by trying to guess, based on what I know of each of their personalities, who picked what. I've got Edge picking out A Forest* and Bono picking out The Cutter - but that's about it. I have a feeling they all agreed on the Ramones song, but perhaps it was just Edge and/or Bono.

Anyway, it's been fun for me to hear a couple of things that are new to me alongside some old favorites.

*Until I heard that song on this CD it never occurred to me how much the guitar sound, with the echoes and its stripped back vibe, reminds me of Edge's style.

I would guess either Adam or Larry picked "Obstacle 1". Listen to that rhythm section!

I like that CD a lot too! It has some really great bands on it, and some of them I had never heard before. I quite enjoy listening to it. My favourites are Wake Up, Hounds Of Love, The Cutter and Glad To See You Go. The only song I cant stand from this album is Pere Ubu 30 Seconds Over Tokyo. I just hate it. One of the worst songs Ive listened to recently. I skip it every time or listen for about 30 seconds :D only!
And sorry, I have nothing new to add to the topic who picked which song, the ones I knew are already mentioned.
