Misheard lyrics @ 03:30 pm

lavielavie:
I'm currently feelin: amused amused

On another band's site, someone put a link to this site: Misheard Lyrics Search

Just enter U2 on the form at the bottom and about 150 results come up.

So far my favorite is "Bully the blues guy" for "bullet the blue sky".

And "Free at last. They took your life, they could not take your pie". And "the sweedish theme" instead of "the sweetest thing"

LOL!!!!!!!! Ok, I'll stop now.

I love reading misheard lyrics :-) Any of you got a few funny ones?

I've got one.....but it isn't U2.

I used to think he said, "there's a bathroom on the right." instead of "There's a bad moon on the rise" Okay, in my defense, I thought that before I could read. But, I still have to tell myself he says bad moon instead of bathroom when I hear that song. and I get a mental picture of someone with diarrhea too. it goes along with the bathroom part. the crazy things you come up with when your a child. heh. anyway,

wasn't it Edge who at one time thought, Jimi Hendrix says, "excuse me, while I kiss this guy?" or am I dreaming? I thought I remembered Bono making a crack on it.

I think everyone has thought that Jimi said "'scuse me while I kiss this guy," just like "a girl with colitis goes by" (instead of "a girl with kaleidoscope eyes").

But I did find a funny one! Instead of "and just blowin' in the breeze, wild honey," "Edge is blowin' in the breeze, wild honey." I thought it was cute.

I once thought Elton John sang "She's got electric boobs" instead of "electric boots."

ok this isn't really all taht funny, or u2, but for the longest time the song Freshman by the Verve pipe the line where they say never die for these sins, i for some reason thought was never dial 40 cents. how that made any sense is beyond me, but finally 4 years after i first heard the song i was listening and realized the correct words. still took me a while longer to actually sing the right words
