The Milan show @ 08:54 pm
Guys... What a night! What a night!!!
I went to the first Italian concert the other day (July 20th, which happens to be the anniversary of my departure for Australia last year... Nice way to celebrate hey?!), and I can assure you that was one of the best nights of my life.
It was my 3rd U2 concert and probably the one I liked best. Even if I enjoyed a lot the Elevation show in Vienna as it was more "intimate" (a 20thousand seats venue), I can say Milan was just amazing. The stadium is awesome, both for football and music. And the fact that they were filming the dvd that night made it even more special.
"Hello sexy people... Bono... Sexy people in Italian..."
They started off with Vertigo and I had such a jump start that after 4 songs I had no more voice left and I thought I was having a heart attack! But honestly, how can you stop with such energy flowing around?!?
And consider I was in the "vip zone" so to say, so people tend to be pretty quiet. I was there with my sister and 2 friends, and on the first note of Vertigo we jumped up and never stopped till the end. For a few minutes we were the only ones making a mess in our stand, I couldn't believe! But shortly everyone was up and jumping and singing. It was amazing.
Obviously when they played City of blinding lights, which is my favourite song off HTDAAB, I went totally crazy ahah ;)
And what about Sometimes you can't make it on your own? I have to admit this was not one of my favourite songs, but it is now. The way he sang Can you hear me when I sing... was just unreal. I swear I couldn't help but crying. Bono's voice cannot come from this world, it must come straight from heaven. I don't think I ever witnessed a more hearfelt exhibition than this one.
And let me tell you about Miss Sarajevo... How Bono sang the Pavarotti stanza in a perfect Italian... And the voice! Omg... Pavarotti can go home now!
I could go on forever but I'll just stop here... But I need another show soon!
