1) What was the very first U2 song that you remember hearing?
One

2) If different than #1, what song convinced you that you liked U2?
Beautiful Day

3) Name something about the song in #2 (or #1, if applicable) that hooked you on U2?
The harmony of that song. And the fact that during Live8 Bono added Blackbird to it as well (I'm a Beatles fan ;)) and it fitted so perfectly!

4) What makes you stick with U2 even though they have changed or evolved over the years?
Their lyrics. I love the music, I love the harmony, but the lyrics... I just have a thing for good written songs and I really can't name any U2 song that isn't well written

5) What bank member do you like most and Why?
That is such a hard question! I really like them all! Especially since I firmly believe that if one of them wouldn't be in U2 for some odd reason U2 wouldn't be half as good as it is now. I love Bono for everything that he does, his writing, his passion, his singing, his love, everything. Then the Edge, the guy with the magic fingers and the great abbility to make a guitar cry. Larry, the unbelievable good looking bloke who has sarcasm written all over him and last but not least Adam, the coolest guy I ever set my eyes on.

6) Where are you from and how much radio airplay does U2 get in your area?

I'm from the Netherlands. Although I don't listen to the radio very often (as in, almost never) I do remember that they get a respected amount of radio airplay. You can hear their new singles and the older ones as well and I believe last week one of our radio stations had a U2-weekend, cause the band had just been voted Best Group of the Last 40 Years.

Thank you!

Yes, U2 songs are always well written because they are so full of energy and emotion... They are so good because they put everything into performing the best possible song that captures everything and more when you hear it! Have you been to a live show yet? I am adding you as a friend.

Yes, I have been. My first was in Amsterdam this July and then I left on holiday to Rome, found out they performed there too, got tickets and saw them again :) They might even be better live than on album ;)

I'm adding you right back! I don't have many U2 lovers on my f-list anyway and I always like new friends :)

Best Group of the Last 40 Years

Since you indicated that you also like the Beatles (as do I) and other very popular groups, do agree that U2 in the best in the last 40 years?

Re: Best Group of the Last 40 Years

Well, the problem is... I'm a bit against the whole 'Best of the '. I can't really explain why I'm afraid, but it's just a bit silly in my eyes. I really don't need to know who is the best and I don't like them more just because they apparently are labelled like this.

However, I do believe that U2 is a very important band for music in general (as were the Beatles). Their influence is there and I *do* consider them One of the Legendary Bands.
