OK, there's a surprise - One Tree Hill *isn't* winning yesterday's poll. I can't say I was particularly expecting anyone to vote for the live version of Pride, let alone the majority of people! Isn't it enough that the studio version already won its poll the other day?! It's close, though - only five votes between them at the moment - so it could still go either way. Meanwhile, Another Time, Another Place only got ONE measly vote?! :( I knew I should have voted for that one....

Today's is the last poll before we lose War, TUF and Zooropa, but we'll be carrying on without them!

Fuck, this gets harder. MLK, Exit, Angel Of Harlem, Ultra Violet, Original Of The Species - how do you pick a favourite out of that lot?!

OK, I ruled out MLK and Exit because although they're utterly beautiful and kickarse respectively, there's not much *to* either of them. But god, the remaining three songs are all amazing and I couldn't see any reasonable way of ranking them.

I went for Ultra Violet in the end. Angel is enormous fun, and Original is incredibly sweet, but I think Ultra Violet's the one with the real burning passion. Mostly it's just me going for the Achtung Baby track again, though!

Uggghhhh... Angel, Original, Ultra Violet, or 40? I went for Angel because it strikes me really well at the moment, but that was still way too hard.

In a way I'm glad we lose 3 albums after today... this is stressful!!

Ultraviolet. I didn't even have to think about it. No other song compares, since it's my second-favorite U2 song of all time :)

For me, this track is all about Ultra Violet, Electric Co., 40, and Exit (which totally ROCK) over If You Wear that Velvet Dress, New York, and Original of the Species (which...don't rock as much, IMO of course). The other songs kinda fall in the middle...nice solid U2, i suppose.

0mg cholesterol! I voted for a treelubbin' track! I'm such an ABer, but the more I listen to Ultraviolet, the messier it sounds. I love the deep and dark Exit. I hate how I have to turn up my speakers/earbuds all the time... but oh that climax! This is one I wish they'd revisit live, as it's the most worn out chapter of my R&H DVD.

I love Angel, UV and Electric Co., but I had to put in for New York. Yes, I'm biased. (Odds of the boys playing that this weekend?)

I think this was the hardest one. I chose "The Wanderer," but it could've easily went to "40," "MLK," or "Exit."

Too hard, so I used my 'get out of jail' card which is, vote for whatever's from AB, because I love it so. And it's probably the best choice really, if only for the 'Oh COME ON!' which is simply brilliant.

Honourable mention must go to Angel, which was one of the first U2 songs I loved and even before I had an album of theirs I'd stuck it on a mix tape (I found said mix tape a few weeks ago and was amazed!), and 40 for its message and Larry's drumming. Yay.

Was really tough to choose between "New York" and "Original of the Species". They both are standout non-single tracks on their respective albums. "Original of the Species" squeaked by though and got my vote.
