Hi! I was wondering if anyone knew what U2 set lists have been like on the tour. I'm finding no info on their official site since I'm not a member. I remember reading a while back that they were doing a lot of their older material from Boy...but I assumed they may have changed it up a bit during the tour.

So, if anyone knows what the set lists have been like recently I'd really appreciate to know. I'm seeing them in the coming weeks, and I kind of like to know in advance what to expect.

Thanks for your help! :)

And for those who have been recently, do they allow one-time use cameras?

All you need to know is one URL: U2-Vertigo-Tour.com. Head over to 'Tour history' and you can look at the sets for each leg of the Vertigo Tour, or any of the past ones.

Alright, a more detailed comment. Here's a couple of links you may find informative:

- The all U2 tours page.
- All songs played page.

As far as playing old material goes, this tour's been absolutely amazing as far as bringing back old material goes. They've been playing The Electric Co. at almost every concert (before this tour, it was last played in mid-1987), and The Ocean has been showing up too (before this tour, it was last played in December 1982). An Cat Dubh/Into The Heart was a regular of the first leg and was played once in Europe on the 27th of June but hasn't been done since. Gloria was done in Europe on the same date and reappeared last week in New York. They've been doing I Will Follow a few times lately too, and Out Of Control showed up at today's show as well as once each in Toronto and New York.

More recent material? 40 and Bad are closing most shows. Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses has been brought back from the dead and is being played sometimes. The big news for nineties songs is that Miss Sarajevo is being done every night after only being played twice before this tour on 12 September 1995 and 23 September 1997. And even bigger nineties news is that The First Time is being played live for the first time EVER (it was only snippeted in Bad back in 1993): it's being played at most shows.

A beautiful new acoustic version of Stuck In A Moment is being played at some shows after debuting early this month in Boston. From new material, Fast Cars and Crumbs From Your Table debuted in September and have made sporadic appearances since.

That's probably enough info for you for now. I can spout off any more statistics or information that you'd like. :)

Whew! You are GOOD! Gee, talk about a machine---you know it all! That's so awesome and thanks for your help! :)

Btw, I about died when I read they're doing "I Will Follow"...that's one song I thought they'd never do...and I love it. Now you got me all excited and I hope they do it at my show!

Thank you. :) I just have a passion for setlists. I ended up as a maintainer of U2-Vertigo-Tour.com because I'd memorised about half of the site, haha.

I Will Follow actually happens to be the most-played U2 song ever, slightly ahead of Pride (it just passed 700 known performances). It's the only song that's been played on every tour. So you've a good chance of hearing it on tour. I hope it shows up at your show. :)

That's awesome!

Ok, so I just read that they've been playing "With or Without You" AND "Still Haven't Found". You have no idea how happy that made me. I could've sworn that they weren't doing those anymore---at least I think they weren't on the first leg of the tour.

I am hoping that they perform those...as I was not even born when U2 came out...so this is my first time seeing them! I know all of the old fans love to hear rare songs...but I would just love to hear the classics as well. I can't wait!

Oh, and what are my chances of hearing "Sweetest Thing"? Now that's a song I want to see live.

And they've pretty much ditched "With or Without You" and "I Still Haven't Found"...right?

Chances of Sweetest Thing, I'm afraid, are very low. Of course, with all the songs that have been brought back from the dead this tour, it can't be totally ruled out, but I definitely wouldn't be expecting it. There have been no rumours of it being soundchecked or anything of the sort.

With Or Without You is being played at every show. It missed most first leg shows, but has been played every concert since. Look for it in the first encore, though it has been played in other positions (it closed one concert in NYC). I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For is also being played at most concerts. It missed all but two first leg shows, was played at almost every European show, and although it's missed some third leg shows, it's been done at every single one since 23 September before Beautiful Day, except at one New York show where All I Want Is You was done instead.

I may be biased as hell, but U2-Vertigo-Tour.com is better: far more searchable database, more information on snippets, and setlists presented more clearly.

(Yes, for full clarification, I work on U2VT, but I only got on the team because I was such a fan of the site.)

I've never even been to that site before! >_<
My knowledge of U2-related websites is lacking. *sigh*

I'll definitely check it out. :D Thanks!

I can't say I know too many U2 websites myself, unless they're U2 setlist sites. I love my setlists. It's such a dorky interest, but ... I'm a generork, what can I say?
