I'm currently feelin: full full

I borrowed my brother's car yesterday and was listening to his Sirius satellite radio. I was browsing the country stations and nearly died laughing when I saw "U2: Yahweh" come up on the channel. I thought maybe the category had froze or something but nope...everything worked fine.

So yah...U2 is now considered country on satellite radio, lol. :-O

Hmmm...I used to work/know some people who work over at Sirius now. Considering their tastes in music, it doesn't much surprise me they think that U2 passes for country.

Still amusing though. :)

This makes me curious - what type of music do they like that makes you think they file U2 under country?

Well, most of the people I know are from my collge radio station (we joke that Sirius has become our unofficial grad school). It was a metal station for years, but since I started college, it's been a lot of emo/screamo along with some punk, stoner rock, and other more non-mainstream rock. And, as much as I really love a lot of those people, they aren't all very well-rounded in music outside of their own personal favorites. So, I could totally see a more mellow U2 song equating country to them.

I'm just glad that I got to program the alternative/indie rock specialty show I DJed for 2 1/2 years. :)
