If anyone could post about when-ish they play, that would so rock. I mean, I love Cash & U2, but I don't think I could handle some of the special, ya know?

Edge's vocals were excellent!
No offense to Bono, but he pretty much blew tonight. LOL, he can't do an American accent AND sing in a deep throaty voice at the same time. Too much for a brain to compute.
It would have been good to leave Cash's vocals and have both him and Edge just sing back-up. That's a tribute.

It's okay, I've already declared I hate Bono 50% of the time. ;)

It just wasn't written for him to sing. It happens to everyone.
Usually I can hit all of U2's songs because they are so high-pitched but sometimes (like "Will do me no good" in Fast Cars) I struggle and end up singing an octave higher.
Maybe Bono should have done it in Cash's style but in Macphisto's voice. THERE'S A HYBRID FOR YOU.

I'm going to go on record and say that I FUCKING LOVE THIS, BEGINNING TO END. The synths, the live drums, Edge's little 50's wawawwa thing, and yes, even Bono's vocals. I just must not be hearing what all you guys are, I couldn't hear him terribly off key in any parts. At any rate, this performance is nothing short of magical.

Well, let's face it: Who can sing like Cash? He was an original.

I loved the whole program. Sheryl Crow's rendition of "Ring of Fire" was pretty, but it seemed watered-down next to the original. Again, see first sentence.

And yay Jerry Lee Lewis! Unfortunately, his voice is long gone, but the man can rock the piano. One leg up, banging the keys with his boot heel!
