Anyway, I'm nice and I'll share:
For your viewing pleasure =P
Well, it's animated, which is cool. But not cartoony at all. This is futuristic, very realistic animation. Kind of like that one chapter in the Animatrix, which I can't remember the name of. Anyway, it reminds me of the One video with the buffalo and the flowers and stuff, because it's very simple, and as they put it in the Story of One documentary on the Best of 1990-2000 DVD "It's like wallpaper for the song". The latter parts of the video remind me of the Bono-at-the-bar version of the One video, because of all the YUMMY close-ups of Bono's face (like in my icon, from the One video).
Anyway, some of it is a little creepy. I mean, the heads are kind of creepy looking, they're so white and they have no eyelashes. I think the close-ups of the eyes freak me out the most. The flowers and random butterflies coming out of the mouths is a bit creepy too.
The Bono animation is pretty cool looking, and the fact that it's bald really makes it look like Pop!Bono. But then when the real Bono gets on there it's very nice. He looks good, except that he's shaved, and I prefer him with the stubble. His expressions are good too, there's a lot of emotion in his face when he's singing, especially after he takes his glasses off.
Other than Bono, my favourite parts are the bit with the rotating head, and all of the little messages are written on it, and even more so than that, the middle eight, with all of the quick shots of the pregnant woman wrapped in silk, and flowers, and colours.
Overall, the video is really different, but really, really pretty. I almost started crying the first time I saw it. Original of the Species is a very special song to me, and I'm really glad that I like the video.
By the way, Happy Thanksgiving to anyone here that's celebrating it! And what better for a holiday treat than a new U2 video?
