On the news, they had 2 Sydney GA tickets selling for >$4000.

And one just finished with >$1000.

Honestly, if someone's stupid enough to pay over $4,000 for a concert, especially when the second date hasn't even gone on sale, they deserve to lose the money.

I really think eBay should put a big stompy foot down about ticket scalping. I mean, I KNOW how hard it would be to monitor it all, but I think they should take some responsibility.

it says on U2.com tickets won't be mailed out, you'll have to pick them up with credit card and second ID at the Ticket Booth at the venue to cut down on this sort of thing. I dunno if that'll work for this situation, but I applaud their effort.

It does indeed suck to see all those tickets up there.

I understand the feeling. I was soo mad that I missed out on seven, SEVEN u2 shows and the only way to get tickets would be be through assholes like him. =(

Guess what? Ticket Brokers do this ALL the time! And it's legal! I saw GA tickets on acetickets.com for 800 a pair!

Then they have the balls to write in their FAQ that they don't drive up ticket prices! If people didn't pay this kinda of insane money there'd be no market.
