Does any kind person happen to know which of the B-sides on the Best Of album are covers (and who sang them)? Or even know where I could find out?
Thanks x

I can answer about one, but only because it is real obvious. I dunno about the others.

Unchained Melody was originally sung by The Righteous Brothers.

No it wasn't. The Righteous Brothers did one of the most famous covers of it, but there were many other versions before theirs. I can't remember who had the very first hit with it, but I know Jimmy Young was at least one of the earliest.

Everlasting Love is the third cover and when I searched on www.allmusicguide.com the most listed artist was "Cason/Gayden." ???

Check it out:

Bleh, that link above didn't come out quite right.

Anyway, I found a little more info:

"The Tennessee-based writing team of Mac Gayden and Buzz Cason wrote "Everlasting Love" in 1967, and it was a hit for the UK band "Love Affair" the following year. It has also been a British hit for Robert Knight, Rex Smith and Rachel Sweet, Sandra, Worlds Apart & Gloria Estefan."

If you own the CD, check the booklet. In the song credits, it will say who wrote the lyrics.
