I was hoping they'd play City of Blinding Lights or Original of the Species, but I figure they wanted to do something fast before they went into One. Still, there's definitely some irony in that. =)

They were sitting with their guys. You could catch a few quick glimpses of them when they got up to accept their awards.

Definitely not Anne. I forget her name, but she's the director of the Leonard Cohen documentary that Edge went to see at Sundance. I guess she's a good friend of the band.

last year they werent nominated for album of the year or record of the year or even song of the year, so perhaps they chose to sing the song that means the most to bono.

this year, the record was up for bigger awards, and vertigo is the most instantly recognized song from the album, had the most radio airplay etc, so perhaps thats why they sang it. As for ONE, no comments needed :)

i think they know exactly what they are doing :)

I love that they did it that way. It wasn't what people would expect. They like to keep people guessing and its quite entertaining. They're very independant and they do what they want. Its great.
