Third Vertigo Show For Sydney in November
U2 will play a third show at the Telstra Stadium in Sydney on Monday November 13th. Full details here.

U2 broke box office records when tickets went on sale for two Sydney shows in December 2005, the 150,000 tickets available sold out in less than one hour. The announcement of a third show should come as good news to those who missed out last time.

Manager Paul McGuinness said today, “We hope some of those fans that missed out last time will have the opportunity to get tickets for this third show. The band is ready to get back on the road and is looking forward to playing some fantastic live shows”.

Vertigo//2005 opened in San Diego on 28th March 2005 and has so far played to more than 3 ½ million people world wide. Vertigo//2005//2006 has already travelled through North and South America and Europe and will visit Australia, New Zealand and Japan before finishing up in Honolulu in December.

The Sydney shows will be Special Guest Kanye West’s biggest Australian audiences to date. With multi platinum selling, Grammy award winning artist Kayne West warming up the stage - this will be a night to remember for all Australian fans.

The new concert date is:

MONDAY NOVEMBER 13 - TELSTRA STADIUM
TICKETS FOR THE 3RD SHOW ON SALE FRIDAY AUGUST 11 AT 9.00AM!
Tickets will be available through Ticketek outlets or by phone on 132 849 or on line at: www.ticketek.com.au. There will be a 4 ticket limit per person.

As previously announced, rescheduled Sydney show information is as follows:

FRIDAY MARCH 31 becomes FRIDAY NOVEMBER 10 TELSTRA STADIUM
SATURDAY APRIL 1 becomes SATURDAY NOVEMBER 11 TELSTRA STADIUM

All tickets for the original performance are valid only for the new performance date indicated above, but without need for exchange.

Here's all the details on U2's rescheduled Vertigo Tour shows this November and December.

uhm, just some advice your best bet is if you try multiple options,
phone, internet and go to an agency - i still think camping out at an
agency really early or the night before is the way to go - because the
internet always gets clogged and the phone lines are always full. Get a
friend or something to help you out. If you double book am sure you can resell. U2 usually goes in 30 minutes, down to about single seating in about 15-20. Its very much about getting lucky, because you could not have any seats and then the person after you could get some, cos someone may not have decided to go thru with their booking or something.

I should mention that I work there which is how all I know all this stuff...

Yeah, we camped out overnight to get our tickets to the second Sydney show, and we ended up with the back end of A Reserve (and were bloody glad to get it, after missing out on the first one) - and we were only tenth in line. I won't be knocking myself out this time, seeing as I have my ticket, but I'll probably try my luck online and on the phone.

the stupid lottery sucks though. I went to their show last may...and we got to ticketmaster 2 hours early and there were a few people, so I didn't mind, we were like4th in line...well then at opening they come out and announce to the hundreds of people that showed up either 5 mins before or even 15 mins LATE that they will be doing the Lotto. Now lucky my friends ticket was pulled and she was first but those people in front of us didn't get to go to the show, at least not from that ticket run...unless they called in because it was sold out in 20 mins, not even. So I definately think the lotto sucks, because I went out of my way to be there 2 hours early and If I didn't get tickets I would have been PISSED. they said its because they want to curb the sleeping out because its apparently dangerous or some BS like that...anywho good luck!

My god, that policy sucks balls! It's a bit different in our case - Ticketek is is the agent for the Sydney shows, and if there had been any kind of Ticketmaster lottery nonsense for the Melbourne show, I think I would have heard about it.

And, you know, we camped out at Ticketek. Dangerous? We were a group of four, we made sure we were all carrying phones and at least one person at a time stayed awake, and we didn't even have cash for the tickets on us, we had a friend bring that along in the morning. When we arrived for the campout, there were a bunch of folks, men and women we didn't know who we made friends with and ended up having a game of cricket with, HTDAAB was playing out of someone's car, we talked about U2 gigs past and we had a barbecue dinner and breakfast courtesy of these people. Dangerous? It was a little adventure, and the sense of community was strong - we were all U2 fans, damnit!

that sounds awesome! I mean I can see there point because NJ and PHILLY are pretty rough, I mean I live right next to camden which is the most dangerous city in america, but my town is safe...and cherry hill(where ticketmaster is) is safe, for the most part. But thats besides the point, I'd risk my safety anyday for the chance to go see U2 again...thats the whole point, I sacrificed sleep, time and money, and I would have camped out if we were allowed with out getting harrassed by the cops...U2 people take care of U2 people...

I was planning on getting down to the ticket agency (in my case Ticketek Penrith...Sydney people will know where I mean.) at about 6am ish, is that too early or too late? Mostly because I'm going alone, my friend is most likely working and my parents don't want me camping out alone at night. I don't blame them, but I'm seriously sick with worry about not getting any tickets at all.

And apparently alot of people who already have tickets to other shows are buying tickets to this show so they can sell them on ebay for ridiculous amounts. Some U2 fans they are.
