I would just like to ask your opinion...I have U2 GA tickets for the first concert in Sydney. How early do I have to be to get relatively close to the front? I just moved here last year and am wondering, how eager are the fans here and how early do I have to be?

Thanks for the advice!

I thought I'd also mention there are still a LOT of tickets left for the Monday concert...

I don't know about Sydney, but at Philadephia, I was in like by 5AM, and was 30th in line. I'd say get there as early as you are physically able to do so.

Take into consideration that this is their first tour down here since 1997.

Of course it is. How silly of me. In that case, get there the night before.

My guess would be to sleep overnight there. Especially since they havent come since '97. In Portland I ended up being #126 and I showed up at 6am. People had slept overnight in the snow.

I'm going to the third show and even I'm camping out. Mainly because it'd be a hell of alot of fun. Weather shouldn't be too bad. I don't think in a drought that it's likely to rain all that heavily if does.
