Ray in South Park

U2 in Oakland, CA. TWICE!!

I just confirmed that there will be 2 shows for us here in Oakland. Thursday - November 15, and Friday, November 16th (my birthday is exactly 2 weeks after that.) Yeah!!
They will go on sale a week later than initially reported. So that is Sept. 30. The Raiders are playing a home game that day, so they are opening the parking lot at 8 am. There will be no lottery system enforced, so first come first served. I forgot to ask what the limit per person is. The box office does not anticipate a huge crowd for U2 tickets because of the Raider game. I, am skeptical. It's U2, and like it or not, there are lots of No Doubt fans out here as well.
I just got a call from karmakanic while here at work, and the game is on! I am going to both shows! This will be an early birthday present to myself. Too bad Oasis isn't opening in Oakland for U2 like they did here back in 1997. What a couple of nights that was.

I know I am living in a dream world, but if it were up to me, this is what the band will be playing on the third leg:

The Electric Co.
Beautiful Day
The Ground Beneath Her Feet
Until The End Of The World
I Will Follow
New York
Sunday Bloody Sunday
All I Want Is You
Party Girl
New Years Day
Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of
Dirty Day
Even Better Than The Real Thing
Where The Streets Have No Name
Out Of Control
Walk On
Bullet The Blue Sky

Let's see how many of the classics we get this time around!

    Radiohead - The Tourist
