Glasto 05

From the NME...

U2 and PRINCE are wanted for next year's Glastonbury festival by

Although Glastonbury 2004 is not yet even underway, organiser Michael Eavis
has announced that he wants the two musical legends on the bill for 2005.
Eavis said: "I'd like to get U2 headlining for next year and I'll be making
a phone call to them."

He told Virtual Festivals: "I know they like to do their own thing but,
again, so does Paul McCartney, and they don't come much bigger than him."

Eavis said: "I might also try Prince again. We approached him for this year
and he seemed interested but in the end he couldn't make it."

Fans will start arriving at the Glastonbury site from tomorrow (June 23),
anticipation of seeing headliners Paul McCartney, Oasis and Muse.

- Almost impossible to get tickets for, but at least we'll get to see U2 on TV if it Eavis can pull it off!

Hi there! I am a quite new fan, so I have lots of questions and I hope maybe you could answer them. :) So first, was U2 founded in 1976 or 1977? (I've heard both, and would like to know which one is correct.)

And who is War child? In the booklet of The Best of 1980-1990 is Support War child and an address. Someone please explain what that means?
