U2 is love

(no subject)

I had a U2 moment last night!!

I went to a concert last night, to see my 2nd favorite band (U2 is first of course), The Prodigals. Which, by the way, if you like irish music, check them out: prodigals.com. (sorry, on the street team, gotta promote them lol).
Anyways, a local band opened for them, Brace Yourself Bridget. And the last time they opened for them, they played a U2 song. And so I was hoping they would play it again, and they did!
They sang "All I want is You" and it was absolutely beautiful. It was so beautiful, with the bagpipes and everything in it. Almost brought me to tears. That's one of my favorite U2 songs.
Anyways, of course i was belting out the words and flipping out. But it was really cool to look around in the crowd and see other people singing the song...and then you feel kinda connected to them. lol well, at least i do. another reason why love U2...the fans. cause you all just rock :)

anyways. i just wanted to share my U2 moment.

CD:UK this morning

How awesome was Vertigo on CD:UK this morning?!  The TOTP performance was OK, but this one kicked its arse all the way back to Venus!  Anyone who missed it should be sure to catch the repeat in the early hours of tomorrow morning. :D

Edit: For those unable to watch it on TV, both the performance of Vertigo and last week's interview are also available online. Why the hell wasn't there a website doing things like this when I missed the SM:TV interview four years ago?! :/

Bono at VMA's Latin America

Hello people! I don't usually post here but I always read all your entries :)

Just wanted to let you know that Bono introduced the MTV VMA's Latin America last Thursday... I didn't watch the awards until today, that's why I hadn't told you. He did it in perfect Spanish! It was really cool. AFter that I stopped watching becasue I wasn't interested in those awards at all, hehe ^^.}

Off topic: GO ST LOUIS!!! -- from a Yankee fan :D.

The Alarm - James

The Alarm Live in the US

Back in the 1980's there was a little Irish band called U2 that played Red Rocks ....

Also on that tour a little Welsh band called the Alarm were on the road with Bono and the boys ...

The two bands became good friends and the Alarm got other support slots in the UK and USA in the 80's...

Why well they came from the same background of a celtic country, and the lyrical contents often covered similar subjects with passion and drive ..

Well until U2 hit the road in the US next year and you want some rock and roll with heart and integrity why not go see the Alarm in November ..
