Heheh. Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own is gonna be on Top Of The Pops this week (not sure if they're showing the video or the band performance), and this is the blurb on the website:

"Such was the mighty drubbing that the '2 administered with their almost-too-big 'Vertigo' that you'd be forgiven for a being a bit wary of their next one, just in case it takes your face off. Thankfully this heartfelt ode to Bono's dad shows off their other incredible talent to the full, namely the beautiful rock ballad. Hankies at the ready..."

Made me grin, anyway.

"Tsunami Aid: A Concert of Hope" airs live on the entire family of NBC networks - NBC, Bravo, USA, MSNBC, Sci Fi, CNBC and Trio - at 8 p.m. next Saturday, January 15th. The show will be broadcast live to the East coast, tape delayed on the West coast with the phone bank staying open throughout the night. The special will also be promoted through the Clear Channel network of radio stations. Additional talent will be announced daily. The American Red Cross' International Response Fund is the beneficiary.

I haven't been able to find anywhere that lists U2 on the lineup.... but considering they're using "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own" over the commercial spots for the NBC concert on BRAVO!, there's a chance that they are. ;)

There are several separate shows - in the US, UK, and Canada - in the works, and there is a rumor that U2 has been asked to play several of them. You can google "NBC tsunami benefit concert" and find all sorts of information about that and the other benefits and charities.
