This is pretty unrelated to U2 so i apologize if anyone has a problem with it but.....
I just downloaded "Teenage Wasteland" from itunes and....
its not the original version I dont think :(.
Did The Who originally sing it?
Anyway does anyone have The Who version they could upload?
I would be very greatful.

Oh here is a small U2 related bit of info. My roomate Andrea has touched Bono! She was a dancer at the superbowl halftime show and she can be seen in the video when Bono is walking through the crowd to get to the stage. Pretty nifty huh?
(I am so jealous)

bonos funeral plans

i thought this was interesting:

BONO has revealed that he wants BOB DYLAN and PAVAROTTI played at his funeral.

The U2 singer describes the send-off he would like in a new book, ’Bono In Conversation’, due to be published in April to coincide with the commencement of the band's 'Vertigo' world tour.

"I would like lots of weeping and wailing," he says. "The music would have to be good. Bob Dylan singing ‘Death Is Not The End’. I think I'll have Pavarotti singing ’La Traviata’."

In the book, written with interviewer Michka Assayas and due to be published by Riverhead Books, he also reveals private conversations with the likes of Tony Blair, George Bush and Bill Clinton.

As previously reported, U2 's 2005 world tour kicks off in San Diego on March 28. The British leg opens in Manchester on June 14.

U2 in San Diego

Does anyone have any info regarding how the GA waiting line will be set up for 03/28 San Diego? Back in '01, a buddy waited ina fan-run GA line outside the ice palace in FLA where he said it was very well organized. Any love? Any help? Any suggestions?

(no subject)

I was telling my dad about an assignment for my Sociology class that we have to bring in a song that is socially aware. So, obviously being the avid U2 fan i am thats easy. The teacher suggested U2 so i thought im not going to bring in Sunday Bloody Sunday or an easy song that most people will think to bring in. I was thinking of Crumbs From Your Table since i am doing my senior research paper on the Africa crisis. But, i have chosen Please since that song is beyond powerful, especially live. If you dont know, the song is about religious nuts and political fanatics who shrink God to their own image etc etc. But i am impressed because my dad right away said "you should choose something from the Sarajevo concert". I have rubbed off on him, haha. I would bring something from the Sarajevo concert but the quality isn't that great to present to a class.

Edge and his Blue Angel...

Did anyone see this on MSN today? It's an article about celebrities and their kids' names, and Edge has a mention under the "Get Back to Nature" section. Just a brief thing, but I still giggled and pointed to the screen and went "Edge!"

(unrelated to U2 but related to this article: Am I the only person on the planet right now who actually _likes_ the name Apple Blythe Paltrow? *crickets chirp* Okay, just me then.)
