Today's Selection is...

"One/Unchained Melody" from the Live8 Concert in London.

I reuploaded it for anyone who wants to take a listen. Thanks to desert_sky for the original!

Rather than doing a review of the song and it's performance in general, I want to see your response to the speech and the songs.
If you need some help getting started, here are some basic questions:
What does One mean to you today, as opposed to when you first heard it? What is your favorite bit about this live performace? The masses singing as one voice? The additional lyrics at the end of "One"? How about the thousands of people singing "Unchained Melody" and Bono letting them take the lead midway?
Answer away! The longer the better. If you think no one is going to read it, you're wrong. I read everything.

A very happy July 4th to all the Americans in this community!

I was listening to "Lady With The Spinning Head" and just noticed how similar it is to "Wake Up (part 1)" from the soul preacher album. Was Wake Up an early version that they morphed into Lady? Just wondering what you guys thought or knew.
(personally i like Wake Up better :P)

92.9 WBOS has been playing Rattle and Hum for the past forty-five minutes or so! I tuned in to the end of Van Diemen's Land, and was really excited when I heard the talking at the end of it, and then Desire. :D

I have no idea why, but obviously I have no problem with it. All I Want Is You is playing right now, so it's soon over.

Yea I was waiting for today to ask this:
Does anyone have the version of 4th of July from the Gold disc of Unforgettable Fire? Supposedly, it is a bit longer than on the regular discs. I really love the song and for those of you who don't...try listening to it on a stormy evening, maybe telling ghost stories or something. It sets that kind of creepy mood....
Anywho, if anyone has it would you mind putting it up? Mucho thanks

This has probably been asked before, so I apologize beforehand.

With an internet speed of "100 mbps" (near that), how long does it take to download the complete u2 set?
That being said, can you stop the download and then start it up again later?
