Oh jeez

I am so, so, so, very sorry about not using a cut tag last night.

HUGE apologies to anyone I pissed off. Gah. I completely forgot people were avoiding setlist spoilers.

So, so, so sorry.

Will offer bootlegs and any other MP3s in atonement. For example, here is Pearl Jam with Bono, "Rockin' In the Free World." It rocks.

SO SORRY. I feel awful.
The Yoda

Actually, it's pronounced Me-lay-wah-kay, which is Algonquin for 'the good land.'

Is anyone else here going to the Milwaukee show tomorrow?

Ha, I'm so nervous. If you see a soaking wet girl in the GA line trying to read the new Neil Gaiman book and looking petrified, come say hi. :)

(Figures we've had a draught [is that how you spell it?] all summer, and tomorrow they predict storms all day long. ;) )

Irish Pubs and U2

They go hand in hand, what can I say? Out on the town in Ottawa last night (if such a nightlife exists...). The group of us heard "Yahweh" walking into The Heart & Crown. Later, while in Patty Boland's we heard "Until the End of the World", where I made a fool of myself. Knew it was that song within 10 second, and I screamed out "U2!!!!". There is no end to my loserness.

    Everlasting Love - U2
Pink Me

Dear older brother, thank you for being a U2 fan when I was a kid.

**screams**

Okay. I haven't been a U2 fan all that long. Under a year, in fact. Yes, I jumped on the Vertigo bandwagon. But I can remember Zooropa from my childhood. I was eight years old in 1993. I remember loving the video for Numb because it was just so freaking weird. My older brother was 14, and a bit of a U2 fan at the time. After I got into U2, I remembered that he'd had Zooropa on cassette tape, but I didn't really remember anything else. When I asked him about it, he told me he'd also had a U2 shirt. I didn't remember the shirt at all, but he told me it had the band on the front and the ZooTV Europe dates on the back. Of course, there was no telling where that shirt might've ended up, so I didn't think about it much.

Now, a couple of years ago, my parents moved out of the house my siblings and I grew up in. But they still own it, it's just in rather bad condition, and for the moment is being used for nothing more than storage. Today, my mother decided to take a trek over there and pick up some things. While in the attic digging through some stuff, what should she happen to find, but my brother's ZooTV shirt.

Now, when she got back, she had a bag of stuff, and she kept saying she wanted to show me something, but I really wasn't interested. She kept pulling out boring stuff, and then finally she pulls out this shirt. At first all I could see of it was that it was black with a colourful screen on the front. And then I recognized what it was and screamed and grabbed it from her and jumped up and down a bit.

It's really filthy though, because it'd been in that attic for who knows how long. So the first thing on my agenda right now is to get it washed. But SQUEE! I can't believe she found it! The front has this picture of the band (only not cropped down so much) and it's all purple and yellow, with a rainbowriffic background, and a star above them with U2 inside it and "Zoo TV Tour - Zooropa '93" in a circle around it. The back has "Zooropa '93" across the top in blue, with all of the European tour dates in white with a silver star in the background.
