Hello Hello!!

Hey Sydneysiders! @ 05:56 pm

kezelfez:
I'm currently feelin: excited excited

After Tuesday's brilliant Brisbane show I couldn't help myself and bought a ticket for Saturday's Sydney concert. My flight's at 5.30 tomorrow morning, but due to that silly time difference I'm not going to land until 8 your time. I just hope I'm going to get there in time for a good spot in line. On Tuesday my brother didn't start lining up until about 10 and he got front row on Edge's ramp. I've just heard from my Mum, though, that people have been lined up since Wednesday! I'm hoping it's not that bad for the Saturday show.

If you see a lone, very sleepy Queenslander in the GA line, be sure to say hello. I know absolutely nobody in Sydney and spending close to 15 hours talking to myself aint gonna be fun ;)

I'm going to Monday's show. But I'll be lined up from tomorrow evening. Sorry. I'll be at Gate K somewhere, hopefully towards the front, so feel free to come say hello on Sunday or Monday if you're down my way.

Wow, ok judging by this, the Brisbane situation was entirely different so don't use that as any indication. And I thought my wait was long.

Glad to hear you got a good spot. I was surprised at how laid back it was too. I think it was a combination of the weather and it being Melbourne Cup day.

It might be a bit more full on in Sydney. I was there at 4am on Tuesday, others a few hours earlier and a couple of guys were there from 5pm Monday. In retrospect I could have had a little more sleep but that wouldn't have been likely anyway so I may aswell have gone down when I did. I was something like 11th in line but in the end there's no difference between 1st and 40th when the big dash for the ellipse occurs, you all end up right at the front.

Goodness. This really isn't going to be fun. Brisbane sounds like it was extremely chilled out compared to Sydney.. I didn't get there til 3pm the day of the concert and had a great spot.

Definately, as I said, I was about 11th having been there at 4am. Those who got there at 5pm the night before were seen as being there freakishly early. At Sydney though, it seems they'd be well down the line. It'll be long and a little painful but you should still do it. The concert was the experience of a lifetime, considering that, in the grand scheme, all those hours in the line are really just a tiny few hours of your life that you'll be sacraficing.

I hate to rain on your parade, sweetie, but the U2Australia mailing list had some posts this morning about there being people lined up from yesterday for Saturday night. They moved them to some parkland to get them out of tonight's crowds.

Just got back from the Sydney concert. Was there at 9am to line up and got to the front (well, second row) of the rightside arm of the stage where bono/larry/adam came out. Was excellent! (I saw everything even their pores) Not a lot of people stayed overnight and when we arrived we still managed to make it to the first part of the line before the turn. This is however a friday, and not a weekend, and I think more people may be in line tomorrow because there's no work. Everyone is really friendly and welcoming and there are quite a few people who have come from interstate as well. Enjoy!!!
