subtle didn't work - let's try this

(no subject)

After all these years, I still get a little thrill when I hear U2 on the radio. It seems to happen so relatively rarely, though I will say it happens now more than ever before.

Today, whatever station my cubicle neighbor is listening to has played not one, not two, but three songs: Where the Streets Have No Name, Mysterious Ways, & I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For.

If I were picky, I'd grumble about the fact that they're sticking with the 'obvious' stuff. But I'm still too thrilled to hear them on the radio to really care.

ETA: On a related note, my local Safeway has three or four songs they play on their in-store network on a regular basis. That gives me an especial thrill - hearing something that makes me happy while I'm hating life, wrestling a cart down the aisles. The only unfortunate bit is that one of the three songs is Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses. I do realize I'm waaaay in the minority in really disliking that song (though I always say Larry agrees with me, so I can't be all wrong), but it often makes me wonder: if the goal is exposing people to U2, but not the stuff the general public already knows, what are the ideal songs for that purpose? Ideas or suggestions anyone?
John Lennon - Rock N Roll

Just wondering....

I haven't been around lately and I am wondering if anyone has seen or posted about "Across the Universe" the movie/musical?

I loveth Dr. Roberts =)

If you haven't seen the movie yet, rent it and you will know why.
