Hello Hello!!

walrusoct9:
I'm currently hearin: Harem Scarem - "Human Nature"

For anyone who doesn't have this on DVD, or is just bored at work and wants to see it, the full San Diego Vertigo show is up on YouTube. The first show of a U2 tour is usually a bit uneven, but it's fun to see where the tour started from. Note the weird transition from "Running To Stand Still" to "Zoo Station," ending the main set with "Elevation" and saving "Pride" and "Streets" for an encore.

Anyway, playlist is here:

Enjoy!

This has nothing to do with your post, but OH MY GOD! Another Harem Scarem fan! I just got the CD off iTunes and I'm just stunned to see someone else listening to it as well. =)

Yeah, they're fucking amazing. I wish I could buy their CD's but of course none of them have ever been released in the U.S., so I just get them off of bittorrent sites. Not sure about "Human Nature" yet but the three albums previous are all amazingly good.

I've bought them through Amazon or special order at music stores but it's always an exorbitant price for the import. Very worth it though. If you get a chance to see them live, take it. They put on an amazing show.

I've gotten two albums from lala, somehow (Mood Swings and Overload).

I'd kill to see them live, but alas, I'm far, far away from any continent where people listen to that kind of music.

That's a serious shame. The only time I was lucky enough to catch them was a preview show for the Believe tour. It was a tiny bar in Ajax, Ontario (just outside of Toronto), and I had to drive up there -- ten hours. Totally worth it. I don't think they've even ever played the US, though. Bah.

If they did Canada I'd totally go but I don't think they even play there anymore. :\ I didn't discover them until a couple years ago. Meh.

Good selection of vids you've got up Steve! Goodluck with keeping them all up. The twats removed all mine 3 days ago, even tho I've got persmision from the guy that wrote all the songs. Bastards.

Lame. The fuckers took down my Tori Amos "Storytellers" videos, even though that show has in no way EVER been released on CD or DVD.

If they really take down all the concert footage though, a lot of people will just stop going there, so I suppose it's in Google's best interest to let people run wild.

I have dozens more shows I want to put up there, I'm getting to it slowly but surely.

Exactly. I tried again with a musicians account, no probs so far.

Classic Verve concert that one. I remember when that went out first time around on the SAT1 channel!

Man, I would've killed to see the original band with Nick. I have a ticket stub that says "The Verve" on it, but it was that last US run after Nick had already departed. Not a bad show, but miles away from the likes of "Gravity Grave."

i only watched 5 but excellent! i have the audio boot for this show and without being able to see body language and such, it sounded very low key and lame. the video brings it up ten notches ;)

any chance you have vancouver one, or portland in video format?

Nope, sorry. :\ There's so many Vertigo videos, that I only really went after the ones I was at, and a couple of the Euro shows just for shits and giggles. I'm sure someone has it though, I've seen it going around on u2torrents.

It wasn't a lame or low-key show, but they were definitely a little unsure of themselves and I think were holding back a bit because of it.
