I'm currently feelin: sore sore

Okay, so apparently there's an interview with The Edge in a new issue of Rolling Stone (no idea which specifically), but a post on Interference alerted me to an interesting quote from said interview:

The guitarist also confirms that U2 are in the midst of recording a new album. “We’re working on new songs and getting lost in the music,” he says. “I don’t think we’re going to try and think too much about what we’re going to do with it yet, we’re just going to do a lot of writing and just see what gives. We’re giving ourselves the luxury of just working on the songs. There’s some amazing things coming through.” He calls the material the group’s been working on with producer Rick Rubin “fascinating stuff.” When asked whether the band will team up again with longtime collaborators Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno, he merely laughs: “You might be surprised how quickly that happens.”

The small tidbit doesn't really tell us much, but it does tell us that they're not just sitting on their duffs getting their nails done, so that's good =)

I didn't because I have a grudge against Brian Eno. I'm fine with Lanois though <3

I noticed a lot of ppl don't like Eno, why is that?

All I know is that he and Lanois produced JT and AB *love*, so because of that he's cool lol

Well, I'm pretty sure different people have different reasons, but it seems that when Eno produces an album, he tries to turn it into an Eno album, and it's hard to put that exactly into words, but albums he produces tend to be more atmospheric and synth-heavy than those which he doesn't produce. Also, it's not coincidence that the albums Adam's bass can actually be heard well on, are the ones that Eno didn't produce.
