Yeah, something tells me U2 would not approve of that. The idea is for fanclub to have the only presale access and the rest of us have to wait for public sales.

the fanclub presale is over, if you signed up for the "ticket alarm" at eventim for the event, it's always that eventim send you a special link so that you can order ticket the night before the tickets go on sale for "the rest of the world".

that's exactly it, thank you. The u2.com pre-sale is closed, and this newsletter from eventim is received by people worldwide, it's no fan club pre-sale. It's the beginning of the public/general ticket sale, and that's all there is to it.
I wouldn't mess with any pre-sale for u2.com members, being one myself -- just to make that clear :-)

There have been other presales, at least for the shows in the States. The Giants, Patriots, and Bears have offered presales for season ticket holders or to people who have bought high-priced tickets for other shows. The fan club presale was first, but plenty of other people have had a crack at tickets already.

And let's face it: U2 probably approves of what's going to sell tickets.
