position of the stage @ 10:23 pm

soslik:
question about the position of the stage.

is the stage itself in the middle of the stadium or towards the back?
i have tix for both shows in NY Giant Stadium, not sure which show to go to. for one show i have section 302-which looks like behind the stage and another 325-which is almost across. not sure what to do cause i need to sell one show ( cant afford it :/)

any advice guys?

It's sort of to one end.

not NY, but they're all more or less the same layout from what I've seen

Yep. And depends on what you want...

If you want to catch a glimpse of the boys, you'll see them very well as they exit. But in both shows I saw (and from what others have said), they haven't done the best job of using the full 360, and play to the back very little.

Now, from the opposite end (I was there in Glasgow), you of course won't really see them at all. However, that is the deal with the massive 360 screen. It is almost like going to see a concert film, but they are playing live. I think for the full effect of the claw, the front view is better (it is very pretty!).

It's too bad you can't got to both - there will be some variety in what they play each night.

Yeah, in my last show they did try and play more to the back but for the largest part of the show it was front and sides.

The tickets you have for the back of the stadium will mean you're closer to the screens and able to see them as they walk out to the stage, but the other seats will allow you to see the whole front effect of the stage - and possibly them as tiny dots. Though if they're directly at the back, and not corners or sides I don't think it would matter too much either way. I had seats in the back corner for Dublin and you couldn't see them properly (I think back of stage seats will mean you can at least make them out as they do make their way to the back for some parts), it was all the screens.

It's difficult to say really though.

To answer your other question, set lists change from show to show. And it's difficult so say if they'll change for the American leg of the tour, but http://www.u2gigs.com/ is a good place to see what's been done so far. They don't make huge changes each night, but there's always been a different acoustic number and a few other little surprises thrown in each night.
