Big time radio consultant Jeff Pollack is suggesting a U2-related theme for stations that wish to observe the one-year anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, as posted to a radio industry web site:

Consultant JEFF POLLACK is suggesting that stations join in a special observance for 9/11. POLLACK has proposed that stations observe a moment of silence at 8:46a (ET), followed with U2's "One".<./i>

Working at a radio station (on-air for one of them and running another), I'll try and see to it that at least one of those stations, if not both, will follow suit.

if remembering the event during the minute of silence doesnt bring a tear to people's eye, then listening to the song afterwards surely will.

I think it would be a pretty fitting song to play.
