It Might Get Loud @ 11:51 am

ericcoleman:
Just a couple of quick comments.

The Edge is kind of the odd man out in this. Page and White are very based in the blues, which The Edge really isn't.

You get a lot of insight into the creation of the band, and the creation of The Edge's sound.

Of the three, The Edge is the one who drives himself places, the other two have drivers. I find this very amusing.

It is well worth seeing, especially if you make music. The enthusiasm of all three is amazing (even if The Edge's is a little low key, but then again he is a little low key).

The parts when they all play together are astounding.

I cannot wait to see this movie! I really hopes it gets to Israel soon, whether on the big screen or in DVD. I think it's going to be very interesting to hear Edge talk about how the band was created and how he created his unique and brilliant sound. I play the guitar myself, so this movie might have some insight to how play like Edge and that could be awesome. (:

Just saw it tonight! It was awesome. Though it seemed to me that Jack White was the odd one out... by choice, in some ways.

I loved watching Edge play the old tapes -- of course, everything with him was great, funny and deep and rather sweet. Also, my crush on Jimmy Page grew exponentially -- esp. the part where he puts on Link Wray.

They were wonderful all together -- and the end made me squeal (that's one of my favourite songs). Soon as this comes out on DVD, I'm buying it.
