I'm currently feelin: tired tired

Bono is forever pulling girls up onto the stage with him. Does anyone have some insight as to why he does this, beyond the obvious (ie because he's famous and he can)? And do his bandmates and/or his wife get upset? Maybe it's just me, but I think I might.

I think he does it because he can and because he is a flirt *and* it goes with the rockstar image!

I also think Ali is totally secure in his love and she just puts up with it. (And I would too if he was as in love with me as he is with Ali :)

I would point out that Bono regularly pulls men out of the crowd too. Several times during the Elevation tour, I saw him pull guys onto the stage, and give them a big bear hug. In Cleveland he ran around the heart with a guy during Streets. It was hysterical.

Now granted, with a women, there is usually LOTS more flirtation. But I am sure Ali doesnt' feel in any way threatened.

I think he just likes to connect with the audience. Concerts are very intimate things (yes, even with 70,000 people in attendance), and they lend themselves to human contact.

That's my $0.02

I think it's just another way for him to connect with the crowd.

I once read that he said when he's feeling really intense on stage, he just looks for someone in the crowd who looks as intense as him.

So I think it's about sharing in a feeling with the fans.

But that's just me...
:)
