icymorning:
I'm currently feelin: sore sore
I'm currently hearin: The Million Dollar Hotel OST - Fallin at your feet

I am listening to The Million Dollar OST and the Satellite of Love reprise is absolutely beautiful. I didn't know Milla Jovovich could sing before watching the movie. I was wondering if you knew who wrote the original song ?

Satellite of Love was written by Lou Reed (of the Velvet Underground) :)

It's on Transformer. Great album. I actually bought it in Ireland this summer (though I'd heard it before), but unfortunately, I didn't run into U2. I like Lou's version better than U2's, though.. Don't shoot me, please :>

Milla had a semi hit in the early 90's...I think it was called Gentleman Who Fell. I remember liking it...until people made fun!

I have the original and an acoustic version of Gentlemen Who Fell. The local SF modern rock station LIVE105 used to play both of them back in 93.

Actually it was 1994. I just noticed that Martha Davis of the Motels sang background vocals on Milla's album DIVINE COMEDY.

I think she started acting in the 80's on some disney channel program..for some reason I thought the program was set in the middle east. She always had a veil around her head and was running around with some kid. While Christina and Britney had the Mickey Mouse Club, Milla had to do that. I just remember her eyes.

I guess you have all that you would like to know, and then some, from the coments above..but I cannot refrain from putting in my tuppenceworth...so here goes.

The 'Transformer' album was produced by David Bowie...who was a self-proclaimed Velvet's fan...and Lou Reed ended up asking him to produce Transformer...kinda like the student teaching the master situation there..uh? BTW have you heard 'Perfect Day' from the same album? It is a brilliant song.
