Best of 1990-2000 @ 05:47 pm

Was anyone besides myself disappointed with the Best of 1990-2000 CD that came out in December? It may be because I think of the 1980-1990 era as having the stronger style and more standout songs (Sunday Bloody Sunday, Pride, I Will Follow, Where the Streets Have No Name), but I thought a lot was missed in the 1990-2000 album. I think "The Fly", "Lemon", "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses", and "If God Will Send His Angels" would have been better additions to the album than some songs ("Miss Sarajevo", namely). I don't hold a special admiration for "Electrical Storm", "Discotheque", or "Even Better Than the Real Thing", perhaps because they sound alike to me. Of course, it could be because I'm looking for such complete uniqueness that was seen in the popular songs of the 80s... and also because I think that some better songs on the 90s albums were overlooked for more popular ones.
