October is the sort of album that I could fall in love with over and over again... I haven't listened to it in a while, I think I'll go put it on. :)

The drums in Rejoice...amazing.

I love falling in love with it over and over......I find myself coming back to October before most of the other U2 albums after I've been listening to other music for awhile....Powerful record.

Wonderful album. Goes really well with this part of the year too. Not that it isn't good year round though...

Lying on a bed of brown leaves in the chilly outdoors + "Scarlet" = Bliss

Maybe it's the title? *shrugs* who knows.

Yeah it's a good album to get laid to. Comes very close to Achtung Baby.

*makes sure to read that again*

Strikes me as strange, especially considering the concepts of the album. Whatever floats your boat, i guess...

Well, it is a 'spiritual' album I suppose. I think all of U2's albums have an element of "spirituality" and some tinge of "sexuality" thrown in there for good measure.

October is sheer brilliance. I love all of it. I Threw A Brick, Is That All?, and With A Shout are so underrated, October (the track) is great, and Gloria ... wow. But you can't go past Tomorrow. Tomorrow and Gloria are easily two of U2's best tracks. Why they don't play them live any more is beyond me because they're so fantastic.

Tomorrow really stuck out. Bono said that he wrote it about the troubles in Ireland, but someone called him on the impact of his mother's death on the song. His response: "It's amazing how you can write something and never know what it truly means... of course it's about my mother." I think that just makes the song much more powerful.

Wow, yes, that does make it more powerful. And I've found that, like some other U2 songs, it can take on really personal meanings at times as well ... it's such a marvellous song. People who insult October really need to listen to Tomorrow more.

Great album! Totally underrated. I even prefer it over "Boy"...but that's just a personal thing. And also...the song 'October'...I love it heaps! Great strong U2 stuff that album. Needs more recognition.
