Hello Hello!!

Hate to be a pain.... @ 08:43 pm

ex_satellite451:
I'm currently feelin: cheerful cheerful
I'm currently hearin: Discotheque - U2

I have another question... :D

Where is a good place to download rare versions of U2 songs? For instance, I've heard heaps about the Temple Bar version of Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses and I'm dying to hear it :)
My computer is about an inch above an abacus, so I can't use kazaa or whatever.

there are 2 version of the temple bar WGRYWH: 1 is the "temple bar edit" & 2 is the "temple bar remix" -- both are available on the B-side of the WGRYWH Part #2 single... I have the CD & converted both songs to mp3s and am randomly hosting 5 or 6 different U2 mp3's every other week from my 581 U2 mp3 catalogue (more on the way, too, lol)... here's the link: u2_2u (feel free to directly e-mail me, as well, if you'd like me to just send you the mp3).

cheers,
mel :)

Great website! It's fantastic to finally hear some of that material, seeing I rarely come across much U2 in the shops and have trouble finding it online. Thanks for hosting those songs!

Heh, at least you don't go goofy like me and start telling long-winded stories about U2 you really know nothing about (or if you do, can't remember the end or critical details to).

Haha, I love it when I'll start telling one story and end up somewhere completely different, like I'll begin telling someone the story behind Sunday Bloody Sunday and ten minutes later I find myself discussing the Salome Out-takes ...

Hm, that's a shame with the e-mail. If you want to send me the attachment via an IM, that's cool. I'm AmakAxver on AIM and my e-mail address works for MSN. I'll also hopefully be setting up an Outlook account within the next couple of days.

As an update to my previous comment ...

If you want to send the e-mail with the attachment, I just set my Outlook account up, and it should have the storage capacity, so send it to axver@dart.net.au and it should work. Thanks! :-)

I definitely recommend the Temple Bar Remix rather than the Temple Bar Edit... IIRC, the Edit doesn't have the wonderful middle section! The Remix is great as it combines the best parts of the album version and the Edit.

Hey, you're not being a pain! That's what this community is for, isn't it? :)

That being said, I get all my stuff from Kazaa right now, which sucks. I'm going to try some of these recommendations, too.
