I'm currently feelin: excited excited

Why has it been so quiet on here this week??? Good thing I have something to say!

All right, I had some time to kill this afternoon before work, so I turned on the TV. This commercial came on and I heard "Streets." They were advertising this CD with a bunch of Irish bands and the hits that made them big. And what CD featuring Irish bands is complete without U2? The CD also comes with a bonus DVD, "Sightings of Bono."

Of course, I'm always the last to hear about things, so I wouldn't be surprised if this commercial has already been out for weeks or even months. But it was an enjoyable 2 minutes of my afternoon. :)

hmm...I haven't seen that commercial yet.

Sightings of Bono? haha, what's that supposed to be? Do they catch him in the shower or something?

(by the way this is _words_unspoken, I got a new journal)

I wish they showed some footage of the DVD on the commercial. My guess is random candid shots. Didn't think of the shower though... it's not a bad idea. ;)

I downloaded Sightings Of Bono a few months back, unfortunately I haven't copied it across to my new computer yet!  It's a short fictional film about this girl living in Dublin who keeps seeing Bono everywhere she goes, and getting really freaked out by it. *g*  At the end of the film he comes into her shop (a clothes shop, IIRC...) and, er, I can't actually remember what happens!  I think she eventually manages to get over her fan nerves and regain some dignity though!

Sounds like something I'd want to see! Do you remember where you downloaded it?

Erm.... in a word, no!
Most probably I followed a link from U2log.com, but I don't even know when that would have been. :/

Right, I found my journal entry about it, and therefore figured out where I downloaded it from... it was U2star's video of the week in November 2002 (as suspected I found it via U2log.com). Unfortunately that doesn't help you... I don't know if it's still online anywhere. :(

Haha, awww that's okay. Maybe if I get lucky I can find it elsewhere on the internet. I seemed to recognize and like a lot of the bands advertised on the commercial too, so if it comes down to buying it, it'll be worth it. :)

If I remember right, "Sightings Of Bono" was this short film that this woman made a few years ago.

I remember really liking the film.

isn't it the most exhilarating thing when U2 pops up in some random aspect of your life?

It was called the Greatest Irish Bands. And the bonus DVD was Sightings of Bono.
