for all the hardcore U2 fans;

go out and rent the ben stiller show on dvd.
there are two brilliant skits where stiller plays bono and even has andy dick as adam in the background..

the first skit is on the first episode, and plays out like a rockumentary. stiller as fly-bono talks of the old days with their first manager and the early shows, circa 1980 playing a kids barmitzvah.
the band is playing bulletthebluesky and pulls the kid up onstage and bono proceeds to shine the spotlight on the kid ala rattle and hum...
sure the timeline isnt correct, but it makes for a funny bit.

the second skit is the best one though.
episode 13 was never aired and contains one skit cut up into 2 halfs...

the premise:
an onstage u2 talk show.

complete with larry(bob oedenkirk) providing the budam-ching for bono's jokes, appopriate flashing of the guests names and other slogans in the quick-almost-subliminal flashing, and the interview with Mr and Mrs jeffersons-- sherman helmsley onstage and mrs jefferson (forget her name) on the large Zoo-screen..

stiller really nails bono in this skit. from coming out doing that drunken swager to the cheesy irish accent (theyers ah prooblem en norrdern ayereland)

my fav line from stiller as bono : this is bono signing out saying, im not a god--- i only play one on television.

as a devoted zoo-tv fan, i was in tears.
