I'm currently feelin: good good
I'm currently hearin: u2 - 40

In honour of the day of the Irish .. may I reccommend digging out some material by a little known Irish band called I think U2 :) and playing loud ...

So far I have revisted what I feel to me is one of the best era's of U2 the early years of Boy, October and War .... the rawest period of the careers with some amazing and under-rated songs ...

I will singgggggg singgg a new songgggggg singgggg sing a newww song ..... how longggggggggg

Great memories of two occurences of this song ...

Greenbelt Christian Festival in the UK in 1991 or 1992 ... after the last band played mainstage myself and two friends started singing this as we left the arena to make way back to the tented village and campsite, along an avenue of trees .. we start and by the end of the avenue we sit and just watch as 10,000 walk past all singing "40" woooowwww

Other time was after the Zooropa gig at Cardiff Arms Park .. again the whole arena walkign out of the place singing Howww longgggggg tooo singe this sooongggg.

That's so surreal. And to think I still have not seen them in concert yet (became a fan after Elevation).....I've missed so much of them.

Hopefully that will change soon though :^)

In honour of the day yesterday (for it's the 18th here), I played the 17 March 1982 gig ... numerous times. Some fantastic performances there of many highly under-rated songs. My favourite Out Of Control and Twilight, and the first ever Tomorrow. Awesome show, I wish I'd been alive for it!

Some awesome memories you've got there, and I agree about how great the early years were. So under-rated. Pre-JT's my favourite era ... trust my luck to have been born in 1987!

I loved it when that song was nowhere in the set and all of a sudden people would just start it up...harkening back to older shows etc <3
