I'm currently hearin: U2

So I'm at work flipping through the radio (my first mistake) and I hear the opening to "Where The Streets Have No Name" so I stop it. And I realize it sounds really off, then the vocals start and I realize it's DEFINETELY not U2. Then I start getting pissed because I thought it was on the local teeny bopper station, but then my coworker points out it's on the local Christian station. So anyways this guy Chris Tomlin, covers "WTSHNN" for some Africa benefit c.d., so as much as I don't like the cover it's for a good cause so I can't be totally pissed. Anyone else hear it?

I have heard the version you are talking about.

Since we're on the WTSHNN covers...

there's one live version circulating on the Gnutella network that I believe is NOT U2. It doesn't sound like them, at least. It actually has a few parts where a few words are changed in the lyrics, then it has a extended ending on it, where the vocalist speaks in meter something to, I believe, the effect of "Then, there will be no time for sorrow. then there will be no time for pain, then there will be, then there will be no time..." etcetera...

Any afficianados want to tell me who/we

What is this version? Who sings it?

Is it live? Because if it is, I think it's the "Live from Rotterdam" version from a "Please" single. B/C Bono definitely does say those phrases at the end of WTSHNN.

U2 released a live version of WTSHNN from Popmart as a B-side for "Please". It has the lyrics from Playboy Mansion at the end. It is about 7 minutes long. They do sound different in this version.

To my knowledge, I believe this is the only commercial release of an audio form of WTSHNN in a live version, outside of videos and DVDS.
